There are two small tools that I developed when I needed them. When I have tipe (and such necessity) I add new features to them. These tools are free for use in non-commercial purposes. Both tools are compatible with Windows 2000, XP and higher.

Fonter
This is a small and easy-to-use tool that will help you to work with your fonts. Fonter supports a tree system of virtual catalogs, fonts and catalogs description, drag-and-dropping, viewing/printing font information, viewing character sets tables, creating font backups and restorying fonts from backups.
